IMAX has a Serious WOW Factor

IMAX films provide students with unique and exciting opportunities to explore new worlds and new ideas. In fact, they can be so inspiring that scientists and explorers have cited IMAX for influencing their career choice. As NASA astronaut Susan Helms said of her decision to become an astronaut: "I first thought about it as an option for me after seeing the IMAX movie, The Dream Is Alive."

Being a part of the education experience at the IMAX Theatre in Victoria, British Columbia is important to IMAX so the films are designed to meet recognized educational standards and offer educators a powerful teaching tool that is easily integrated into existing curriculum. Educator's resources are always available on-line and in print and we are happy to make them available upon any group booking.

Get Ready - Booking Checklist

Booking Checklist for School Field Trips

  • No additional discounts or coupons, including the IMAX TEACHER PREVIEW PASS, are accepted with a group reservation.
  • Try to have two possible dates available when you call to book, as some days and times may already be sold out or booked as another film.
  • Have a close estimate of the number of students and adults that will be attending the film. Seats can sell quickly, and we would hate for anyone to be left out!
